1999: Openasia was acquired by three partners: Mr. Doan Viet Dai Tu, Mr. Christian de Ruty and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nhung
1999: Openasia group was founded with headquarters based in Hong Kong, and launched its slogan “business is all about people”
1999: The company entered Vietnam’s infrastructure and mining sector with Openasia Heavy Equipment Ltd
2001: Omvest (Openasia Development) was set up with its first investment as strategic partner with Gras Savoye Willis (insurance brokerage)
2003: Openasia Heavy Equipment became market leader for mining equipment distribution
2003: Omvest became the joint venture partner of Lafarge Vietnam (Cement)
2003: Openasia became the leading strategy and investment advisory firm in the market
2006: Openasia created Tam Son International to enter into the luxury retail market, and opened Galerie Royale in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, bringing Kenzo, Emilio Pucci, La Perla and Korloff to the local market.
2007: Openasia co-founded with Artemis the USD 250m fund Red River Holding for Vietnam
2007: STS, an IT software company was acquired
2008: Tam Son became the official distributor of Hermès for Vietnam and opened its first flagship boutique in Hanoi
2008: Omvest joint ventured with CFAO to become the official importer and distributor of Audi for Vietnam, and opened its first showroom in Ho Chi Minh City
2011: Openasia acquired Thien Hong, a company specializing in luxury lacquerware production in Binh Duong
2011: The group is re-branded “Openasia Entrepreneurial Investors” with strategic focus into Retail and Distribution, Services and Investment
2012: A series of luxury flagship boutiques opened in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, including Hermès, Atelier Haute Communication, Chopard, Hugo Boss
2012: Openasia became the majority shareholder of Thanh Tan company in Hue (Mineral water, Hotspring and Hotels) and created Alba brand
2012: Omvest joint ventured with Maxim’s for Starbucks Vietnam master franchise and celebrated the opening of the first Starbucks store in Ho Chi Minh City
2013: Thien Hong expanded its production with a workshop in Hanoi.
2013: Bang & Olufsen celebrated its first boutique in Hanoi
2013: Alba natural mineral water was launched in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City
2014: Openasia acquired the Hanoi Press Club and the Emeraude Halong Cruise
2014: Tam Son became the official distributor of Bottega Veneta and launched the first store at Union Square Saigon
2014: Chopard expanded its business to Hanoi
2014: Openasia celebrated the Power of Harmony for its 20th anniversary in Thanh Tan Hot Springs Resort with 900 people

2015: Hanoia was officially launched as the leading luxury lacquer brand in Vietnam
2015: Press Club opened La Table du Chef and La Plume Bar & Lounge with Michelin-starred chef Alain Dutournier
2015: Bottega Veneta opened its boutique in Hanoi
2016: Opal Vietnam agency was established, providing communication and event management services
